The Art of Living has also partnered with the United Nations environment programme to develop a global action plan that will deal with the environmental crisis. In May 2007, Ban Ki Moon - the Secretary General of the United Nations - praised Sri Sri Ravi Shankar as a "Humanitarian Visionary". According to Ban Ki Moon, “The contribution made by the Art of Living Foundation for promotion of world peace and social harmony is remarkable. The Foundation’s efforts in creating a culture of conflict-resolution and consensus-building between warring factions in various parts of the world through its programs is noteworthy. ” Art of Living has also participated in the International Strategic Dialogue (ISD) initiative. Last year, The Art of Living and FIDH signed an agreement for cooperation. The Art of Living and FIDH agreed to: Bilateral cooperation between Sri Sri Ravi Shankar and FIDH, as well as with their respective organizations; Complementary activities; Coordination; Meetings and seminars; Affiliation to other relevant groups such as the IHEU (International Humanist and Ethical Union); Participate in networks within the ISD initiative.
